Howard is a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice group. His major areas of experience cover mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, private equity transactions, fund raisings, group reorganisations and joint ventures. Howard has also focused on multi-faceted commercial outsourcing arrangements. He has considerable experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions involving both North American clients investing into Europe and acting for multi-nationals expanding their businesses across Europe. Howard also has particular experience in the real estate industry and has worked on a broad range of commercial property transactions including institutional investment work, property structuring, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.

Professional Background

Howard qualified as a lawyer in 1985 and joined the firm in 1995. He sat on the firm's Partnership Board and is a member of its Advisory Committee.

  • Advising Henderson Global Investors on various institutional fund acquisitions and participations including the retail warehouse fund; and
  • Advising the DTI on the corporate aspects of its joint venture with the Wellcome Trust to develop a synchrotron in Oxfordshire.
