Halina Więckowska's practice focuses mainly on real estate, general commercial, and civil law issues. She has also advised a wide range of clients in the project finance, retail, residential and commercial development sectors.
Her work has included the drafting and negotiating of agreements relating to issues such as enabling development, phasing, design, and construction. She has been involved in a number of M&A transactions and restructuring as well as in a project to launch one of the first Polish companies on the US stock exchange. She has also advised in many regulatory issues such as obtaining permits for acquisition of real properties in Poland, commencement of operations in special economic and industrial zones. She has represented clients in various real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating sale and purchase contracts, financing of sales and acquisitions of properties, as well as commercial leases of commercial and office space. She has also been involved in zoning and administrative issues and advised on a number of project finance matters for major international institutions, investment funds, and international investment banks.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Więckowska gained experience at Polish and international law firms. Between 1998 - 2007 she worked as an associate and a counsel in Hogan & Hartson. She has conducted various lectures and written numerous press articles regarding real estate, leasing and commercial issues. She speaks frequently at conferences regarding real estate and commercial issues.
