Geoff Fehling concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation and counseling. He represents corporate policyholders and other insureds in insurance coverage disputes involving directors’ and officers’ liabilities, E&O claims, SEC investigations, breach of fiduciary duty claims, asbestos liabilities, environmental liabilities, consumer protection class actions, and property damage.

In addition to his insurance recovery work, Mr. Fehling also has experience representing individuals and corporations in state and federal litigation, arbitration, and mediation in a variety of business matters, including consumer financial services, theft of trade secrets, business torts, and claims under the False Claims Act and the Fair Housing Act.

Mr. Fehling has also assisted in government enforcement matters, including representation of public and private companies in investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies and regulators.

Mr. Fehling has been recognized as a 2015, 2016, and 2017 Washington, D.C. “Rising Star” in the area of Insurance Coverage by Super Lawyers magazine.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Fehling was an associate at a Pennsylvania law firm, where he focused his practice on litigation and insurance recovery and counseling. During law school, Mr. Fehling interned for the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the George Mason Law Review.
