K&L Gates Adds Tax and Private Clients Partner in Portland, Orange County Offices

Portland and Orange County - The Portland and Orange County offices of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcome Jeffrey C. Joy as a partner in the private clients, trusts and estates practice. He joins the firm from Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

With more than 25 years of experience in income tax and estate planning matters, Joy works with high net worth individuals and business owners on the transfer of assets and wealth, succession planning, and other estate planning strategies including buy-sell agreements, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, irrevocable trusts, and life insurance liquidity plans. He also has experience with international tax planning, including the facilitation of foreign direct real estate investment, the acquisition of and investment in United States businesses by foreign investors, and the tax structuring and operations of U.S. investment portfolios held by foreign-based clients.
