Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Rubino was an associate at another Washington, D.C. law firm where she represented issuers and underwriters in connection with public offerings and private placements of mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities. She has experience in transactions involving residential mortgage loans and credit card receivables, resecuritizations of residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial loan transactions for the U.S. Small Business Administration and multifamily residential mortgage loan transactions for Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. During law school, Ms. Rubino served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Loren A. Smith in the United States Court of Federal Claims., and for the Honorable William J. McGovern in the New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division. She received a certificate in securities law, and served as a student intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Trading and Markets. Prior to law school, Ms. Rubino worked in contract negotiation at the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C.
