Mr. Phillips defends companies and individuals that are being investigated or prosecuted by the government. He works on internal investigations and assists with conducting interviews and drafting reports. Mr. Phillips is also familiar with U.S. Federal antitrust law and emerging issues of Title IX compliance in higher education. In addition, he is active with the firm’s pro bono programs.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Phillips was a summer associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office in 2015.

Additional Information

Before joining the firm, Mr. Phillips attended Penn State Law where he worked as a research assistant for Professor John Lopatka on issues relating to antitrust law and Professor Neal Hutchens on issues relating to law and higher education. Mr. Phillips also interned with Penn State University’s Office of General Counsel. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Phillips taught music at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Central Michigan University.
