Dr. Dorian Dorschfeldt

Dorian Dorschfeldt is an associate in the firm’s Berlin office and part of the public procurement and antitrust practice groups. He advises clients on matters in connection with procurement law, European and antitrust law as well as public commercial law. In particular, he supports contracting authorities and bidders in connection with complex procurement proceedings and public-private partnership projects. He regularly represents clients before special procurement review bodies as well as German and European courts. Advising on regulatory issues, including aspects of export control and requirements with regard to product and safety standards, is a further key focus point. In addition to this, Dorian Dorschfeldt advises clients on issues relating to antitrust law and advises and supports them with regard to application procedures under merger control law.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates in August 2014, Dorian Dorschfeldt worked at another international law firm in the Antitrust, Competition and Trade Group where he focused on procurement and foreign trade law as well as compliance. He earned his doctorate at the Berlin Humboldt University with a thesis on The Criminal Nature of Facilitation Payments (die Strafbarkeit von Facilitation Payments).

Additional Information

From June 2009 until April 2011, Dorian Dorschfeldt was a coach of the Humboldt University teams participating in the 17th/7th and 18th/8th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
