Clémence Marolla is an associate in the IP/IT team of the Paris office. She primarily focuses on the information technologies sector, and in particular on issues regarding personal data protection, IT law, e-commerce law and consumer law.

She advises French and international clients, ranging from startups to global groups, on issues relating to the protection of intangible assets such as intellectual property rights, IT contracts, outsourcing, cloud computing, international personal data transfers, as well as on the operational and regulatory aspects regarding online business, unfair competition, cybercrime, data breach, advertising, gambling and gaming.

She also intervenes on issues related to innovation. In this respect, she is actively involved I the firm’s automotive industry expertise, notably in the field of connected and autonomous cars, as well as cryptographic means.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Clémence Marolla worked in the information technology team of leading several Parisian and international law firm in this field, for companies operating in online gambling, information technology, luxury, large-scale distribution and online travel.

She also interned in the department of the Data Protection Officer of a large French bank, as well as in the Purchase department of an international credit institution.
