Mr. Tillson practices in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on commercial transactions both international and domestic in scope. He has invaluable experience serving the daily legal needs of corporations and their contract management processes. By example, Mr. Tillson played a critical role on a team that served as the external legal department for the world’s largest distributor of wireless phones and provider of related services, during the company’s most dramatic period of global expansion. His practice now includes the representation of clients throughout multiple sectors of the global economy with respect to commercial, equity, asset, and corporate finance transactions. Mr. Tillson’s practice is largely international in nature, with a particular emphasis on the region of Latin America, where his clients benefit from his linguistic and cultural knowledge and experience. Mr. Tillson has lived in Latin America, negotiates and drafts in fluent Spanish, and is proficient in Portuguese. His extensive experience throughout Latin America has yielded key relationships at the region’s leading local law firms, which regularly assist Mr. Tillson in advising his clients on complex legal and business issues in each respective country. His transactions are frequently memorialized in the forms of distribution agreements, supply agreements, dealer agreements, license agreements, service agreements, authorized service provider agreements, sales representative agreements, terms and conditions of sale and purchase, stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, joint ventures, professional athletics contracts, loan agreements, revolving credit agreements, security agreements, financing agreements, and receivables purchase agreements. Mr. Tillson has negotiated and documented transactions in over 40 countries throughout the regions of Latin America, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East and Africa. He also handles a wide array of corporate governance and compliance matters in the course of his daily representation of businesses.
