Caitlin Beer is an associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office and a member of the Real Estate, Investment, Development and Finance practice group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate, including leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, development and real estate finance.

Ms. Beer has represented developers and owners in the acquisition and development of multi-family, mixed-use and hotel projects in Pennsylvania and nationally, and she has significant experience in the development and financing of energy projects. Her finance experience includes representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with construction financings, syndicated lending transactions, preferred equity and private equity transactions and commercial mortgage and mezzanine loan originations and restructurings. She represents landlords and tenants in a wide variety of leasing matters, focusing on office, retail and light industrial facilities. She also has experience with the real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, project finance, leveraged finance and secured high yield transactions.

  • A Pittsburgh developer in the acquisition and ground leasing of tracts for future development
  • A national retailer in the subdivision and disposition of a 15-acre parcel in central Pennsylvania
  • An institutional lender in the disposition of REO properties including a luxury hotel in Washington, D.C. and a $140 million office building in New York City
  •  A large private equity fund in its $400 million acquisition of an international chain of boutique hotels

Construction and Development
  • A community development lender in the origination of more than $15 million in construction loans for multi-family, mixed-use and hotel projects across the Pittsburgh region
  • A Pittsburgh real estate company in the development and management of a 225-unit residential apartment building in Florida
  • A local non-profit in the construction and financing of a $10 million mixed-use property on Pittsburgh’s North Side

Leasing
  • A REIT in the leasing of 160,000 square feet of Class A office space in Jersey City, New Jersey
