Bryan Cantrell is an associate in the Newark office. Mr. Cantrell represents management in all facets of employment law, including defense against federal and state law claims of employment discrimination based on factors such as race, creed, color, national origin, nationality, ancestry, age, sex (including pregnancy and sexual harassment), marital status, domestic partnership status, affectional or sexual orientation, and mental or physical disability as well as in litigation concerning retaliation and whistleblowing, wage and hour disputes, employment contracts, misappropriation of trade secrets, and non-competition and nondisclosure agreements. He practices before state and federal courts and administrative agencies as well as in Alternative Dispute Resolution forums such as the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Cantrell also counsels clients on properly responding to internal employee complaints alleging discrimination, harassment or other improper conduct and conducts reorganizations and reductions in force and the accompanying disparate impact analyses, federal and state WARN notifications, and preparation of severance agreements.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Cantrell was an associate at a Newark law firm and represented management in labor and employment matters.
