Amy Ironmonger focuses her practice in the areas of resort and hospitality, real estate and commercial development, commercial lending, and corporate law.

Ms. Ironmonger’s practice includes:

  • Structuring and documenting resort communities and other real estate developments, including purchase and sale agreements, covenants and easements, joint venture agreements, development agreements, hotel agreements, and golf agreements
  • Routinely drafting commercial loan and loan modification documentation in connection with the workout of numerous credit facilities for major financial institutions
  • General commercial real estate matters, including drafting and negotiating leases for commercial properties
  • Stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, and other similar transactions

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Ironmonger practiced for another Charleston firm and worked for two years as a special projects analyst, where she focused on research related to the hotel and real estate industries. Ms. Ironmonger is also an internationally acclaimed sailor, having competed in and won numerous sailing events around the world, including the 2009 Melges 24 North American Championship.

  • Assisted in the representation of a European family-oriented hotel brand launching in the Caribbean
  • Assisting a condominium hotel developer in Roatan, Honduras with drafting condo hotel covenants and rental management agreements
  • Assisting an auction house in preparation for the auction of several hotels in the Caribbean
