Agribusiness

The K&L Gates global agribusiness group advises clients in the agribusiness industry across the world—from crop breeders and hog farmers, to growers and processors, agricultural equipment manufacturers, and multinational biotechnology companies—in a wide variety of practice areas.

With a focus on the entire agricultural supply chain, our integrated cross-practice and cross-office group provides ag-related legal experience in a variety of subject matters—corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, finance, real estate, land use, water law, environmental law, intellectual property, commodities, antitrust, regulatory issues, dispute resolution, employment and labor law, and commercial contracts, and general litigation. Clients appreciate our cross-disciplinary, globally-coordinated approach because it allows us to represent them efficiently and cost-effectively in business dealings, regulatory challenges, and litigation wherever they do business.

Our agribusiness team includes lawyers who have scientific, technical, regulatory, and operational backgrounds, including a former associate general counsel at a global agricultural biotechnology company, a former in-house counsel for an international institutional investor, and a former federal commodity regulator.

With our strong international presence, we are able to provide services worldwide to protect the interests of our agribusiness clients.
