How K&L Gates’ Winning Strategy Won CMU’s Patent Infringement Case

K&L Gates partners Patrick McElhinny and Douglas Greenswag led a team with a wide range of technology and technical backgrounds in representing Carnegie Mellon University in its long-standing patent infringement suit against chipmaker Marvell Technology Group Ltd. and Marvell Semiconductor Inc. Following one of the largest jury verdicts on record, the case culminated in a $US750 million settlement for the University earlier this year. The case and the ongoing commitment of our team of lawyers were highlighted in a recent feature in the Pittsburgh Business Times.
